As a cultural student association, we, the Romanian Student Association, are dedicated to organising a variety of engaging events. From cultural events and social gatherings to exciting trips and parties, we strive to provide a diverse range of experiences for our members. Our latest endeavor, a live music concert featuring LST- a band formed by our very own talented members – is a testament to our commitment to diversity and creativity.
The Genesis of the Idea
Our journey began within the Educational Committee of RSA, where we made an unexpected and exciting discovery – a group of incredibly talented musicians who had been hiding within our association. Recognising the value of our discovery, the committee wasted no time in strategizing how to present these talented musicians in a spectacular concert. This concept was uncharted territory for RSA, and it offered a unique, cultural spin to our events calendar.
Planning Phase: Opportunities and Risks
Once the plan was drawn, it was presented to the board of the association and we delved into examining the potential opportunities and risks associated with this type of event, which would be the first of its kind in the existence of the association. This concert aimed to showcase the incredible musical talent within our community and foster a sense of unity among students through the power of music. When organising the very first concert at RSA, we had to carefully consider the logistics, audience engagement, and financial aspects.
Upon careful review of the proposal, the board completely supported the event and proceeded to delegate responsibilities among its members.
Board Approval and Role Distribution
Following a thorough evaluation, the board fully endorsed the initiative, full of enthusiasm for the opportunity to craft an unforgettable experience for all those involved. The responsibility of overseeing the event fell to the Internal Affairs Director, who oversees the Educational Committee. However, teamwork is key, so the Director will need to work closely with other board members and committees to ensure everything runs smoothly and everyone is on the same page.
Collaboration Across the Board
Each committee and board member plays a crucial role in the success of the event, from marketing and handling logistics to ensuring a seamless execution.
- Digital Committee has been assigned the important responsibility of promoting the event and designing the promotional materials. They will utilise various channels such as social media, flyers, posters and collaborations with other student organisations to spread the word.
- Educational Committee is tasked with finding the perfect venue and compiling a list of requirements for the proposed event.
- As a treasurer, my responsibilities include preparing budgets, overseeing expenditures, and providing financial projections. Additionally, it is my duty to negotiate an agreement with the venue, ensuring that all the requirements for the events are fulfilled.
Through collaborative efforts, meticulous attention is given to every aspect of the event, showcasing our solid commitment to providing its members with a wide range of captivating and fulfilling experiences.
Impact of the event
As the concert day approaches, the buzz within the Romanian Student Association is undeniable. This event is more than just a showcase of musical talents; it’s a celebration of our community’s spirit and creativity. With the dedication of our committees and the wholehearted involvement of our members, “Live Music Concert” is becoming an impactful event that will foster greater connections.
